Takamaka Pti Lakaz aged rum – an honest testament of what can be achieved when cask ageing rum on the Seychelles tropical island. Traditional pot distilled Seychelles cane rum from four different barrels — including two port casks — is blended with pot and column distilled molasses rum that’s been aged for three years in ex-bourbon, as well as an 8 year old Foursquare molasses rum from Barbados. Bottled at a lovely 45.1% ABV with no colour or sugar added, and non-chill filtered.

TASTING NOTES
Coppery golden amber in appearance with aromas of toasted oak, dried apricot and cocoa with faint clove and star anise. On the palette reveals dry toasty oak slightly masks more subtle apricot jam-led fruitiness with enlivening spicy notes. A wonderful long finish with more dry toasty oak with pleasant fruitiness, a touch of cacao and delicate spice.
