The Oriente region, in the south east of the island, has been known as the Cradle of Light Rum since 1862, and Santiago is the city where the most respected Cuban rums have been created. Our factories are the oldest in which the tradition of Cuban light rum has been maintained. The lush terror is an unmatched microclimate. Here, the baking heat of the Caribbean sun, the humidity of the land and the minerality of the sea perfectly entwine to create the optimum conditions for cultivating sugarcane, enriching the ageing process and bringing personality to our unique liquid.
Ron Santiago de Cuba Anejo 8 Year Old Rum is a magical blend of the sweetness of sugarcane molasses and the subtle touch of the Maestros del Ron Cubano. From the dedication of the Maestros comes one of the highest expressions of the Cuban Rum tradition.
This rum is produced from sugar cane grown in the Oriente province of Cuba in the South East of the island. Ron Santiago de Cuba is a molasses based rum. Following fermentation and distillation the resulting spirit is charcoal filtered before being transferred to high quality white oak barrels for ageing entirely in Cuba‘s tropical climate. An award winning rum is extremely versatile that is a wonderful to try neat and also works its magic in classic Cuban rum cocktails!
