“For this batch, we leant one of our ex-bourbon barrels to Bad Shepard Brewery for them to ferment a Russian Imperial stout in. Was a lovely drop too. Once emptied we then filled it with our new make rum spirit and left it to age gracefully for a touch over three years
We did pinch a “little bit” from the barrel over time and this was used to “rum spike” the next few years of Bad Shepard breweries imperial stouts. Even better drop.

This Single Cask expression (Barrel No. 26) has be crafted exclusively for The Rum Club Australia. This limited ed. release is Batch 003 of JimmyRum’s award winning RumRum premium expression that has been matured in a 200ltr American oak cask that held Imperial Stout from Bad Shepherd Brewing Co. in VIC and bottled at what we believe is a sweet spot 48.1% alc/vol.
