El Dorado Diamond High Ester 2012 Rum is a Limited Edition and the first to be released in the highly anticipated El Dorado ‘High Ester Blend Series’.

El Dorado Diamond High Ester (DHE) / La Bonne intention (LBI) 2012 Rum is a blend of two rum marques. The La Bonne intention estate was another now long forgotten sugar estate and distillery in Guyana dating back to the 1800s, with a rum produced there being judged at the Calcutta International Exposé back in 1883. Rum continued to be produced until at least 1959. This rum combines the La Bonne Intention (LBI) rum marque from the versatile French Savalle Still with the exclusive, never-before released Diamond High Ester (DHE) rum marque from a John Dore double retort copper pot still, both located at Diamond Distillery. It is rumoured that a very long fermentation time (over 1 month) was used to create the DHE high ester component.
